Recycled Products
When hardcore is delivered to our recycling site it is sorted and separated into different material. This then goes through a crusher and then a screening process which gives us recycled aggregate. We follow the WRAP Protocol Guidelines and are tested to ensure they meet the standards. These products divert waste from landfill and provide a cost effective, more sustainable option.
Type 1 Sub base
This is a mixed material of crushed concrete, brick and occasional asphalt. Approximately 40mm down to dust creating an easily compacted recycled aggregate for use as a sub base.
6F5 Crush and Run
Similar to the Type 1, but approximately 75mm down to dust, used for general backfill or as a large sub base. It is a coarse product making it hardwearing once compacted.
Being a by-product of demolition these products are likely to contain fragments of wood, plastic, glass or metal.
Road planings
Our Road Planings (also known as tarmac planings or road scalpings) are a well graded material which are a by product of resurfacing roads. They can be used as a fill or a sub-base for buildings, paths, driveways, and patios.
Quarried Products
MOT Type 1 Sub base. Direct from our local quarries, a granular Sub Base Type 1 is suitable for all sub bases such as for roads, driveways, pathways and hardstanding area. The mixture of crushed stone and fines gives a stable surface when compacted.
20mm clean stone. Ideal as a drainage solution or used in landscaping as a decorative stone.
